Contract Work

As time allows, I am happy to help with a host of other tasks. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working on dozens of properties, performing a plethora of jobs for wonderful, friendly islanders.

My seasonal work has included stacking firewood, cleaning ponds and pathways, watering plants, trimming hedges, pruning trees, raking leaves, and cleaning gutters.
In landscaping, I've moved rocks, cleared brush, spread soil, planted lawns, and weeded gardens.
My construction experience consists of building fences and gates, repairing decks, critter-proofing crawl-spaces, and being a knowledgeable, helping hand on larger projects such as sheds, docks and houses.
I've taken care of household chores such as bringing supplies from town, moving vehicles, organizing sheds, bagging garbage, and sweeping decks.
I've even dug trenches, laid pipes, and brushed off roofs.

Yes, two dozen different jobs, but only one standard, affordable rate. I charge $25 per hour for all my contract work - and I supply my own tools. The only exception is if the job requires the use of gas-powered equipment. I charge $35 per hour when using my hedge-trimmer, and a ten-dollar surcharge applies on a round-trip to town. I don't charge for travel time or lunch, so all jobs are subject to a one-hour minimum.
